My largest (by weight) machine to date, this 1962 Burke Millrite came to me by way of a classmate. Over the course of a year, I built a control system
centered around a Variable-Frequency Drive, repainted and cleaned the machine, and repaired a few other small cosmetic issues.
Some notable modifications
include the quill downfeed handle (now made from a broken wrench) and the tachometer, which is operated by an Arduino Uno reading a hall effect sensor. The control
system was designed and built by me, using nearly all reclaimed (read: dumpster-found) components.
