Made from solid, jointed redwood, this planter should last many years. I designed the assembly in Autodesk Inventor, and cut the jointery on my 1936 Delta shaper.

A generous treatment of linseed oil protects the wood from premature degradation, and stainless steel fasteners will resist the corrosion inherent in redwood-to-steel connections.
