Robotic Arm
In this Project I created a Robotic arm in both AutoCAD and Inventor. The most challenging program to 3D Model the arm was in AutoCAD because of the lack of 3D modeling Features that Inventor had. I was also allowed to make make assumptions or changes to the dimensions of the drawing if I felt they didn't make sense but I mostly stuck to the specified dimensions. A challege I was faced with was changing the sliding tube into two parts so that they could be assembled and disassembled. After modeling it in Inventor I imported the 3d Model into 3DSMax minus the rubber hose. The reason being that I set up a special tube in 3DSMax that would move and shift depending on the position of the Robotic Arm. The next Hurdle was making the Arm solve the Tower of Hanoi Puzzle in which you would have 3 or more disks each in a different size. You are given 3 Positions to place these disks however you are not allowed to put a bigger disks above a smaller disk. You start with all the disks in a neat tower on one side and your goal is to move that tower to the opposite end. I ended up only doing 3 disks because I was pressed for time and adding even one more disk is exponentially harder to animate. I first had to find the most optimal solution for 3 disks which was easy after playing around with the puzzle. I used IK solvers and constraints to force the individual parts to act as a real life assembly would and also to make animation easier. I Finally animated it then render out the project and added my intro and outro in Premiere Pro
