My name is Gabriela (Gaby) Silva. I am currently enrolled at Napa Valley College in the Digital Design Graphing Technology (DDGT) two-year program I expect to graduate in 2024. Before enrolling in the program, I was majoring in the college’s Art program. I have experience with different physical mediums such as oil painting and charcoal as well as knowledge of the artistic side of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I will always have a love for art and try to incorporate that within all of my projects

Over the past few years, I have been increasing my knowledge both within a school setting as well as in day-to-day life becoming more proficient with both physical and digital media. It is very important to me that I continue to grow to improve myself and grow.

  It is also important to me to be involved in my community, I nominated as the 2018 Youth Volunteer of the Year for Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership for Napa Valley (CVNL). This was an experience like no other since I was able to collaborate with many like minded people on different volunteering programs. I was able to reach out to the community to help encourage innovation and empowering individuals within our community. One of the many ways I did this was within the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley. I was able to create a lesson plan that focused mainly on S.T.E.M. I continue to volunteer when I get the chance. I can usually find time to volunteer with the teens at the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley, and I always hope to do so since they hold a special place in my heart. When I care deeply about something, I will do everything in my power to do my best and be my best. I do that with my community service and will always do that with my professional work as well.
