Biography
My name is Megan McDonough and I am currently a student at Napa Valley College in the Digital Design and Graphics Technology Program (DDGT). This A.S. Degree involves many facets of digital design including 3D modeling, computer aided graphics and design, reverse engineering, 3D printing, 3D scanning and using like programs like AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit Architecture, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and website design. I have always considered myself to be a mechanical person and accentuating this strength through the use of computers has been very rewarding.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. My first job out of high school was at North Marin Water District. I was introduced to AutoCAD through my work in the Engineering Department. I was in charge of updating the maps when new water services were installed. I scanned and digitized all the as-built drawings. This work motivated me to enroll in the DDGT program at Napa Valley College. My goal in joining the DDGT program is to enhance my technical and computer graphics skills for a future and vocational placement in the field of digital design. |
