The 3D model of the machine vise was created in Autodesk Inventor, complete with the painstakingly re-created ACME threads found on the vise screw. The still images were rendered using Inventor's Studio module. The animation was created with Autodesk 3ds Max, including the creation of custom materials to give more precise control over the colour & texture of the model. The animation was then rendered as individual frames using ChaosGroup's V-Ray renderer, and imported into Adobe Premiere for the final edit.

By the way, that's not the A-Team themesong, it's Homeward Bound by Jack Trombey, the main theme from Monty Python & The Holy Grail.
