Machine Vise

This was my first animation I made in the DDGT program using Inventor, 3ds Max, and Premiere.

In order to get the model, we had to first make it in Inventor using a new add-on called the Cool Orange Thread Modeler. The add-on allowed us to quickly create detailed threads on simple bolts.

Animating things gets fun in where we basically get to tell 3DS Max where the parts are going to be at any given frame in time. We got to do that and basically tell 3DS Max exactly how the parts themselves are gonna get from point A to point B, and the real beauty of making the animation for me was the huge amounts of things you realize you can do to a part going from one point to another. Finally, working the cameras were probably the segment we could customize the most.

The final video showcases the skills I learned using 3DS Max. I learned a lot of different tools while putting this animation together. I honestly hope I can do more of these kinds of projects in the future.
