Biography

Hello, my name is Jacob DeGraw. I am currently taking the Digital Design and Graphics Technology (DDGT) two-year program offered at Napa Valley College (NVC). I have been working with various Autodesk programs including: AutoCAD, Inventor, and Fusion 360 and I am excited to learn more.

I am a quick learner and have always had a great interest in computers and video games so naturally I ended up in a field where computers are heavily involved. However, I did not start my journey in Computer Aided Design (CAD). I started in computer programming, my freshman year of high school. I continued studying computer programming throughout my sophomore year where I took AP Computer Science. I loved computer programming however my school did not offer more classes in computer science, so I ended up taking a class that was heavily based on inventor. That is where I fell in love with the Autodesk programs and decided I wanted to further my education in that area.

Outside of my interest in Autodesk programs I raise animals for a program known as Future Farmers of America (FFA) and spend time with my family and friends. With this degree, I hope to get a job involved in mechanical design and I plan to continue my education as a part-time student while working.
