Biography

I’m Luke Melby and I am the creator of MAD. This site serves as a portfolio website to showcase my art and design projects. It includes personal projects as well as assignments from the Digital Design Graphics Technology (DDGT) department at Napa Valley College. Courses like this have allowed me to grow in my craft and tackle increasingly complex and challenging projects.
As with many who enter this field, my passion to create started with an appreciation for the media I grew up with. I struggled to recreate the expression and form of what I saw, but I pushed through in an engagement with the process. Learning this early on propelled me into the wider world of the advanced arts. Soon enough, my drawings were looking more and more alive!
I pursued a variety of art skills in college and also picked up skills in digital graphics and drafting. These skills have given me the opportunity to create more advanced schematics, graphics, and 3D models, with plans for more to come.
