My name is Mark Alcantara and I am currently a student at the Napa Valley College’s Digital Design and Graphics Technology program. By Spring of 2027, I hope to have completed certificates in mechanical drafting and learned valuable technical skills I can take into my next career. I joined this program because I am interested in design and the various programs needed to achieve proper design.

Before transitioning towards design, I began my career in the technology industry as a Support Analyst. I enjoyed the collaborative work and provided great customer service by guiding businesses through different software solutions, but I always wanted a more creative space and wanted to help design different products myself. I am now moving towards a career that would align more with my new goals and my dream is to operate my own design/drafting firm with the ability to provide quality services to local businesses.
