Wedding
This is a completed Photoshop project in the Digital Design Graphics Technology (DDGT) program that involved restoring a vintage wedding photo provided by the course. Using Adobe Photoshop, I developed skills in repairing and enhancing old images while working through a full restoration workflow.
The process began with cleaning up imperfections in the photo using tools such as the clone stamp, healing brush, filters, and generative fill (AI) to remove scratches, stains, and other damage. After the initial restoration work, I used adjustment layers including Levels, Hue/Saturation, Brightness, Color Balance, warming filters, and black-and-white adjustments to improve overall tone and bring back clarity, especially in the bride’s dress and the groom’s collar.
To refine the image further, I applied dodge and burn techniques to selectively lighten and darken areas, improving contrast and bringing out facial details more clearly. The final step involved cropping the image to create a clean border and adding a framing effect to match the original presentation style, resulting in a fully restored and polished final photo.
