Machine Vise
The Machine Vise. A project within the third semester of the Digital Design Graphics Technology program. This project has put my fundamnetals of Autodesk and Adobe software to the test, requiring a combination of mulitple programs to complete. Using Inventor Professional, 3ds Max, and Adobe Premiere, I present you a complete visualization of the well recognized mechanical device. To begin this project, I used Inventor Professional to create a 3D model and working drawing of the Machine Vise with respect to its desired dimensions. After the model was complete, I then brought the Machine Vise into 3ds Max. The "s" in 3ds Max, standing for studio, lives up to its name, as I placed Cameras and lighting within the virtual workspace to bring the visual of the model to the next level. With everything in its place, I began the process of "rendering", or in other words creating high quality images of the Machine Vice through different positions of the virtual camera. This process of rendering allows you to compile the images and give motion to the visual, creating an animation! With rendering complete, the project is brought into Adobe Premiere, a powerful video editing tool, where I then Imported the completed renders to create sequences. Adding transition effects and a sound track produced by myself, the Machine Vise was brought to life in an animated video presentation.
Below you will find high quality images, a working drawing, and a presentational video of the Machine Vise!
