Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Design from the University of California, Davis, I achieved the skill sets sufficient to bring ones vision to life. Although I've focused my education around Interior Architecture, I'm also knowledgeable in Graphic/Visual Communication, Industrial Design, and Lighting technology. During my time at U.C. Davis, I’ve learned many design fundamentals, but mainly what it takes to be a part of a collaborative design team, maintain a sustainable mindset, and the importance of deadlines.
Upon graduating, one would think I would be ready to take up any job I could get my persistent hands on. It wasn’t soon after that I noticed I needed to be ahead of my colleagues to actually become marketable. Throughout an internship at a design firm, I contemplated about continuing my position as a PR in marketing, or improve my skillset and go for what I really wanted to devote my time on, not settling for less. After three months, I enrolled myself into an Autodesk training facility to get certified in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit, with an extensive training in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
I currently attend the Digital Design and Graphics Technology program at the Napa Valley College in Napa, CA. This allows me to be Autodesk certified in computer software programs that will help me become a more marketable candidate in the jobs that yet to come. |
