My Biography

Professional, Dependable, Detail-Oriented. These qualities are not inherited – they are earned through experience, discipline, and growth. I utilize my unique background of knowledge and experience to provide high-quality work and build lasting relationships with clients. There is no job too big or small to handle as I strive to exceed expectations and provide a unique product for every customer.

I started my journey as a hardware salesman at the age of 16. I quickly became adept with tool recognition, hardware uses, and practical applications of materials. While speaking with local contractors, fabricators, and laborers I was able to hear hard earned lessons from them all. This greatly expanded my knowledge in my local high school’s mechanics and shed building competitions, and allowed me to excel in my professional ventures as a handyman and a fabricator. This knowledge quickly became skilled experience as I worked odd jobs repairing trailers, fixing house problems around town, and taking any work that I could learn from.

Just before my 23rd Birthday I enlisted in the US Army as a tank crewman. While in the service I learned to be dependable as others may rely on me for life changing outcomes. Attention to detail is a cornerstone of military service; I have seen that if you wander off half-cocked with a mind for resolve you will find yourself making costly mistakes. Lastly, being a tanker requires knowledge of mechanical skills, metallurgy, and trigonometry. When working on an Abrams you could be troubleshooting the turbine engine, welding cracks on its side plates, and calibrating the computer’s ballistics solutions all in the same day. I have used many skills from the Army and placed it in my toolbox of knowledge. I am thankful to have served, I reached the rank of Sergeant in under 3 years, and yet I wished to experience other facets of life.

At the outbreak of Covid I took on a job in the Federal Service as a Security Officer at the local Army Hospital. My skills and knowledge of the Army served me well as I was able to place my attention of career growth on administrative type work rather than worrying about tackle tactics or weapon recognition. There I became a Department Safety Officer, to mitigate injury and accidents. I tried my best to not kill people with PowerPoint, but realistically the job was able to maintain itself. Interpersonal skills and professionalism went a long way when I was safeguarding patients. The job went well enough I was able to do more intricate fabrication and construction work on the side remodeling 2 homes I purchased. After a few years, and with some encouragement from my wife, we decided to move back to my hometown in California so that I could continue expanding my knowledge and skillsets at Napa Valley College.

Originally, I wanted to become a skilled combination welder so that I had a bargaining position with a local union. As I became certified, I found that if I pushed through a little longer, I could learn computer aided design (useful tools in any trade). However, in my case I planned to use it to complement my welding skills and potentially start a fabrication business, perhaps "Weekend Warrior Fabrication and Design" (WWFD). A company that places emphasis on Professional, Dependable, and Detail-Oriented work with affordability in mind. I could use my experience to speak with customers, envision their needs, and provide them with custom and unique projects that not many other shops can create. How would WWFD be different than other shops? I would keep overhead to a minimum. Less workers, less workspace, and custom-made tools means lower costs to you. Many tools in my garage-shop I have made myself, usually for a specific purpose. In fact, a new addition I am planning for is a 60-ton press brake capable of bending up to 24” of ¼” mild steel plate. All in all, I have tried to set myself up into a position where I could find work just about anywhere, doing just about anything.
