Hello and thank you for visiting my website! My name is Brigid Hedlund and I am currently a student at the Napa Valley College’s Digital Design and Graphic Technology program. By Spring 2026 I hope to have completed certificates in both mechanical and architectural drafting. I joined this program because I am keenly interested in the process of design and communicating ideas to be translated into something tangible. Prior to transitioning towards drafting, I began my post-collegiate career in the wine industry as a quality laboratory analyst specializing in microbiology. I enjoyed the detail-oriented work and thrived at identifying and developing solutions but craved a more creative outlet with more variety in my day-to-day projects. I am now transitioning towards a career that would align more appropriately with these ambitions. My long-term goal is to operate my own design/drafting business with the aim to provide quality and timely services to local architects, engineers, and contractors. In my spare time, I enjoy riding and working on bicycles, learning photography, designing jewelry, playing with my trifecta of cats, and spending time at home surrounded by redwood trees. |
