This banana trophy is special because was my very first commissioned 3D print. The story behind this trophy is this: One of my coworkers, at the grocery store I used to work at, was really good friends with our boss. Our boss was famous for always keeping the banana rack stocked and making sure our banana sales were always high. My coworker paid me to make our boss a silly trophy for all his hard work at the banana rack. We eventually unveiled and presented the trophy to him at the store meeting were about 150 of our coworkers were watching. This was a very fun project to make. The most tedious part of this project was tracing the Whole Foods logo with splines using a graphic I found on the internet. The most fun part of this project was finding a 3D model of a banana on the internet and scaling and modifying it to attach to the base. I also hollowed the base so that I could put sand in it to make it heavy, almost as if it were made out of gold. This also saved a lot of printing time and material usage.
